This is the Privacy Policy for Serene Hair Studio & Spa. At Serene Hair Studio & Spa your trust and satisfaction is of the utmost importance. Because we respect your privacy, we have instituted policies intended to ensure that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner.

 

Satisfaction Guarantee
If your service does not meet your expectations for any reason, return within 7 days and your same technician will perform any service necessary to resolve the problem to your satisfaction. Upon returning it is mandatory that the client fill out a ‘Client Complaint’ form so that we may assess the situation and correct it to the client’s satisfaction. We cannot, however, perform any correction(s) if the client chooses to visit another salon before allowing us to correct the problem. No refunds will be given. If you choose to have another technician perform the service you will be required to pay a non-refundable service fee. Please note, however, that chemical services will be guaranteed ONLY when products recommended by salon technicians and purchased at our salon are used for the care of your hair.

Hair care and skin care product returns must be within 30 days of purchase and are for exchange only. Product returns cannot be credited to services received.

Product and service prices are subject to change without notice.

Children
Even though we love children, infants and children under twelve (12) years of age are not permitted in the salon unless they are scheduled to receive services. This policy enables all visitors to fully relax and enjoy their stay with us. Please make child care arrangements prior to your scheduled appointment. Your fellow patrons thank you.

Scheduling
It is best if you book your appointment at least two weeks in advance. Groups and wedding parties should be scheduled at least two months in advance.

While we do our best to have all appointments run on time, there will be times when a preceding client treatment may exceed its scheduled duration and put us behind schedule. We will make every effort to keep you from waiting.

Even though walk-ins are welcome, we cannot guarantee that a time slot will be available for walk-in clients. We recommend that you make all appointments in advance.

Punctuality
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. First time clients will have Client History & Treatment Consent forms to fill out. Your treatment will start promptly. If you arrive late for your service, your treatment may be modified. All treatments end on time so that the next guest will not be inconvenienced.

Cancellations/No Shows
For your convenience a 48 hour confirmation will be given on all appointments. We require a 24 hr. cancellation prior to any appointment. If this is not met the following will occur:

  • 1st time – You will not be penalized.
  • 2nd time** - You will be charged 50% of your service(s).
  • 3rd time** – You will be required to reserve your appointment with a valid credit card.

** All missed appointments that have not been cancelled 24 hours in advance will be charged 100% of their service.

No exceptions will be made.

Late Arrivals
Clients should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment.

Please be advised that we can not guarantee service to clients who are more than 10 minutes late for their scheduled appointment. This will permit us to keep our commitments to clients who arrive on time.

Payment Methods
We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, and American Express.

There will be a $35.00 fee on all returned checks.

Gift Cards
Gift Cards can be redeemed for service or retail and are available in $25.00 increments. Gift Cards are not redeemable for cash, nor are Gift Cards redeemable for gratuity. Gift Cards purchased before December 31, 2006 do not expire, however any remaining balance will be charged a 10% surcharge per month beginning after one year from date of purchase. Please note that our gift cards are non-transferrable.

Gift Certificates purchased after January 1, 2007 will expire two years after the date of purchase.

To avoid booking errors when scheduling Gift Cards appointments, please inform your scheduler of every service you are to receive.

Gratuities
For convenience, gratuities are never added to treatments. Our employees do take pride in their work and are therefore not motivated by tips. However, tips are welcome at your sole discretion.

The amount of the gratuities you leave for your service is always left to your discretion, however, a 20% gratuity is customary. If you are pregnant Your medical professional's consent is requested before we begin your treatment. If this is unobtainable, we request that you sign a waiver of liability prior to your service. Let us know, when you make your reservation which trimester you will be in at the time of your appointment.

Effective July 1, 2007 we will no longer accept credit card gratuities. Cash and check gratuities will still be accepted. Thank you for your cooperation and patronage.
