Maxine - Owner / Stylist
Maxine has been in the beauty industry for over 10 years. She holds a college degree in Business Management, has assisted a world renowned guest artist, and takes continuing education courses in hair, skin, and nail care.
All these experiences have helped Maxine achieve her lifelong dream...to open Serene Hair Studio and Spa. Maxine's vision is to provide an unsurpassed working environment for her staff, a welcoming salon atmosphere for her clients, and the best service money can buy.
Tony - Front Desk Salon/Spa Coordinator
Anthony joins Serene Hair Studio & Spa with 3 ½ years in the managements field. He has an associate's degree in Occupational Therapy in Specialized Technology. Anthony is also educated as a Reformer 1 Pilates instructor. He enjoys working with clients and providing a fun-energetic environment. Anthony assists with marketing and provides excellent customer services to all of Serene clients.
Lauren - Nail Technician
Lauren has been in the salon business for 10 years. Lauren is a licensed nail technician and completely enjoys her career. She has worked in the Wexford area for 9 years and has recently joined Serene Hair Studio & Spa. She looks forward in growing her business in the Mars area. Lauren always prides herself with her ongoing knowledge of new and innovative nail trends. Also, Lauren is very diligent about continuing to educate herself on all new techniques and new products. Lauren's services include manicures, pedicures, acrylics, and spray tanning.
Pat - Nail Technician
From natural nails to nail enhancements, Pat has over 10 years in specialized natural nail care, tip application with gel overlays, as well as, pedicures with emphasis on good foot health while utilizing only the highest standards of sanitation and disinfection. Special attention is given to more mature clients and those with health issues such as diabetes where careful attention is imperative.
Pat is Master Certified in the gel application process and will assess and recommend nail services which will best suit each client's lifestyle and personal taste. With on-going research, continuing education, and frequent trips to beauty industry trade shows, including New York City, Orlando and Chicago, she is always in search of cutting edge products and techniques. Her main focus is to offer Serene's clients the most current and the absolute best in natural nail care, nail enhancements, nail art, pedicure services, spray tanning products, and eyelash extensions. Aside from her primary focus of nail care, she is certified in Xtreme Lash eyelash extension and also brings to Serene over seven years experience in instant spray tanning application.
Andrea - Esthetician / Massage Therapist
Andrea has been with Serene Hair Studio & Spa since our first grand opening and has been in the spa business for over 10 years. Her services include skincare, massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, spray tanning and event make-up. Andrea prides herself in her extensive knowledge of Dermalogica skin care products and treatments. Andrea is eager to relax and renew her clients with her touch at each visit.
Laura - Esthetician / Massage Therapist
Laura had been with Serene Hair Studio and Spa since opening 5 years ago. She is a license cosmetologist and specializes in skin care, nail care, and massage therapy. Laura is educated in all aspects of the business and has certifications in massage therapy and lash extensions. She also attends ongoing education and training to make sure she is involved in all the new innovative techniques. Her ultimate love is skin care. She has extensive knowledge in Dermalogica, which she uses in all her skin care services.
Sara - Senior Stylist
Sara has recently joined the Serene Team with 7 years experience. She comes to us with extensive training in Italian style cutting and creative color placement. She also provides her clients with nail services, make-up applications and spray tanning services. She enjoys providing her client's with the latest trends. More and more each day she is extending her knowledge of our exclusive line of Bumble and Bumble attending classes and working with our network educator. She takes pride in her work and helps to customize the best style for her client's. Sara is excited to continue growing her business with Serene Hair Studio & Spa.
Crystal - Senior Stylist
In 2005, Crystal started her career as a stylist in Denver. There, she received extensive training under Bumble and Bumble, Kerastase, Vidal Sassoon, Toni & Guy and Wella educators. Crystal was invited to do the hair for magazine, 'Modern in Denver' 2009 Spring Issues cover shoot. Shortly afterward she produced a Soiree to showcase her current talent. Through all of her achievements, Crystal's built the confidence and skills to cater to all hair types and textures. Also, building a understanding on achieving suitable styles for each of her clients.
Kim - Senior Stylist
Kim has brought 9 years of experience behind the chair, specializing in men's and women's cuts, dimensional color and special event up-dos. Kim brings the most current trends and techniques to her clients here at Serene Hair Studio and Spa. She is an expert hair colorist and has been working with the Wella color line for 7 years. This knowledge gives her the confidence and skill as a valued stylist. Kim attended the Graham Webb Academy in Washington D.C., where she trained and expanded her hair cutting abilities and techniques. Through the years, Kim has dedicated herself to her clients and her passion of leaving and the trade of the business.
Her latest educational trip was to New York City, at the Bumble & Bumble University, where she had training on blow-outs, communication and public speaking. Kim looks forward to pleasing her clients and doing what she loves to do the most, Hair.
